New Online Mental Health Support For Children and Young Adults

New Online Mental Health Support For Children and Young Adults

An online mental and emotional health support tool has been developed by the Humber Coast and Vale Health and Care Partnership for children and young adults in Hull who are aged between 11 – 25.

The Partnership is made up of NHS organisations, local councils, health and care providers and voluntary and community organisations, which are working together to improve health and care across Humber, Coast and Vale – an area which includes the cities of Hull and York and large rural areas across East Yorkshire, North Yorkshire and Northern Lincolnshire.

Kooth is a free, anonymous online support service which can be accessed on computers and smart devices. It allows users to receive support through qualified counsellors on a one-to-one basis, it has moderated forums which allows users to talk to others in a peers support network and access to mental health and wellbeing articles. There are no waiting lists or thresholds for use, so people can use the service as soon as they register.
