Jeanne sits on the Healthwatch Board as a member of the public. She has been a carer for her daughter for 37 years. Jeanne is also involved at both a local and national level in campaigning for better services for adults with profound and multiple disabilities and complex health needs. Jeanne has an interest in research and is a member of the reference group for the School of Social Care Reesearch based at LSE. She is also involved in the LeDeR programme which monitors the premature deaths of people with a learning disability.
Jeanne has lived and worked in Hull since 1981. She came here as an immigrant and has brought up her family in the city so is familiar with both health and social care services. She is now retired but previously worked as a social worker and then a disability consultant.
