Moira Harrison

Delivery Manager

I joined Healthwatch in October 2019 has the Delivery Manager

I have lived and worked  in the Hull area for most of my life. I grew up in the east of the city and later moved to the west Hull area and more recently to the outskirts of Hull.

I have over 20 years’ experience of working in the Health and Social Care field, working as a Registered Manager in a residential home and in the Home Care Service. I worked in the social care department at HRI and maned a team of social workers before having a brief spell working for the Trust in a multi-agency team based in the discharge hub.

I have a Social Work and Best Interest Assessor qualifications and a post graduate in Managing Health and Social Care.

We have lots of work to do over the coming months to raise the profile of Healthwatch and gather the public experience of health and social care.

Andrew Beech

Andrew Beech

Engagement & Communications Officer

Formally a trained chef working in Liverpool for 4 years. I stepped away from the heat when I moved back to Yorkshire to be closer to my family.

I took up a role in sales back in 2016 at a local camping shop. I helped open ‘Trespass’ camping stores around the midlands and north of England. Although I loved my job, I was approached by KCOM in early 2019 to take on a role within their engagement team. A fantastic opportunity to develop my skills.

I took lead on a campaign to help the older generation get online called “I.T & Biscuits”. I absolutely love engaging with people and making people smile. The project also funded my love and passion for biscuits.

I joined Healthwatch in January 2020. I want to bring my passion for biscuits engagement to Healthwatch and get the word out there about the service we provide. Not enough people know about what we do, so my job is to get the word out there!

Wiktoria Kalitka

Wiktoria Kalitka

Patient Experience Officer

At 8 years old when I moved to England I had to work from the very bottom to the top to get through school and learn the language. Now, a 2019 University graduate with a degree in Psychology I am ready to take on a new challenge and help people, as well as sprinkling the world with glitter (I love a bit of crafty work and horses).

Throughout my studies I worked within the customer service sector which allowed me to develop the essential skills for working with people.  Straight out of University I’ve taken on a role at a financial services company which was interesting. Given this opportunity I have further developed my current skills as well as learning many new things that I had no idea about.

However, I always knew that what I really wanted to do was to help people through my work (that’s why I have taken on a Psychology degree after all). I always believed there’s nothing more rewarding than coming to work knowing you are helping and not taking.

I have joined Healthwatch Hull in January 2020. While in this post I am hoping to apply the research and data collection skills which my degree has provided me with, and hopefully help people’s voices be heard in order to improve health and social care services in our local area.

Gareth Fletcher

Gareth Fletcher

Volunteer Coordinator

I have been involved in the voluntary sector for eight years. My journey began in 2010 when I joined Hull CVS to support vulnerable adults as a Volunteer Support Mentor. In 2014 I began working for the Citizens Advice Witness Service where I managed a team of volunteers at the courts in Beverley, Bridlington and Hull to support witnesses and victims of crime.

In 2018 I joined KCOM as a Customer Service Advisor and took my experiences from the voluntary sector with me. During my time at KCOM received praise for my level of customer service as I always wanted to achieve the best outcome possible for the customer.

I joined Healthwatch in 2020 as I feel the input from Healthwatch into local Health and Social Care services will make a fundamental difference and I want to support its mission (and have some of Andrew’s biscuits). I will be using all my experience and skills to ensure that the volunteers have a unique and rewarding experience while delivering an invaluable service to the community.
